Written to be played by the Where’s One? Ensemble in the spring of 2005. This was a student ensemble I was coaching exploring weird rhythm concepts. Recorded at Turtle Studios, 7/11/06. Two takes were made, we used the 2nd take, the rhythm section is live with no overdubs. Fujioka-san blows his Tokyo soulfulness groove via the internet, Ken Pendergast gets to play as much as he wants, and Joe Nero holds the whole thing together. Check out the transcription of the synth solo elsewhere on this site.
